There’s nobody like her.
Some of us know her as Jess from New Girl, but Zooey Claire Deschanel has had so many more roles in movies and TV shows including 500 Days of Summer, Bridge to Terabithia, and Elf. Not only is Zooey an entertaining and talented actress, but she is also a singer/songwriter!
Zooey was born on January 17th, 1980 into a showbiz family. Her father Caleb Deschanel was a cinematographer and her mother Mary Jo Deschanel was an actress. Plus, her sister Emily Deschanel is an actress, director and producer best known for her work in the leading role in the crime drama Bones (in which Zooey has quest starred as well).
Zooey’s quirky, funny, and exciting personality has caught the attention of so many and has helped her land so many roles.
She is definitely one of those people who you see on TV and watch their interviews and think to yourself “hey, we’d be best friends!” Her personality shines through any screen, which is a truly amazing thing. I mean, if you didn’t know already, she befriended Jake Gyllenhaal and Kate Hudson in grade school.
Zooey has accomplished so much in her career even though she only started it after she finished high school. She’s worked with comedy and drama projects, she can really do it all! She’s able to pull off so many roles, and her amazing voice just adds to the fact she’s such a talented well-rounded person. She was even in a music video at the start of her career.
She’s definitely found her passion in life, and it shows in everything that she does.
Zooey has experience in many different career fields. She just wrapped up her role as Jessica Day on the last season of The New Girl. Zooey is also married to film producer Jacob Pechenik and has two children — Elsie Otter and Charlie Wolf. She has been able to manage her career while raising her two children, which is such an inspiration to moms everywhere. Her kids are so lucky to have her as their mom!
She is 38 years old and filled with so much energy. If you ever have some time on your hands and want to smile, DEFINITELY look up some of her interviews. You won’t regret it. Her humor will help the time pass by quickly, and the love you hear in her voice when she talks about her family will make you happy.
She can accomplish anything she puts her mind to and makes it something to remember. New Girl is one of my favorite shows, and I’m so upset that it’s ending, but I can’t wait to see what projects Zooey Deschanel has planned for the future! Zooey Deschanel has put a lot of effort into her role as Jess, and it shows, making this show more amazing than it already is.
