15 Heartbreaking Lana Del Rey Lyrics About The One Who Got Away

< ?xml encoding="utf8mb4" ?>

Lana knows all about not being able to move on.

Everyone has that one person they just can’t seem to get over. Maybe you have accepted that you can’t have a relationship with this person, but the feelings are still there — or maybe you keep going back to them hoping things might improve.

There’s something about going through a continuous cycle of heartache with the same person and feeling unable to get over someone that just makes you feel so powerless and out of control.

It’s almost as if this person has you under their spell and there’s no way to break it.

Often times, the one who got away is not always the best to you, yet you choose to look past it because you are so blinded by love.

For me, I’ve given guys multiple chances because I felt so strongly about them and could see their potential, but there were so many character flaws that I waited for them to fix, only to find them incapable of doing so. Although it was hard, I had to do what was best for me and let these people go. You would think this would be easy to do, especially if they are heavily flawed, but it’s hard to let someone go who you still care about deeply.

If you are anything like me when it comes to heartbreak and lost love, you likely take every sad love song you hear and imagine that song as if it were written about your life. You find common ground between the protagonists in these songs and wonder how a songwriter can perfectly describe exactly how you are feeling, down to the smallest detail. For me, that songwriter is Lana Del Rey.

Known for her unique Hollywood sad-core style music, her ability to write song lyrics in a way that captures my exact feelings, when I am unable to fully articulate them myself, is exactly what I need when I’m feeling down. She’s able to put my feelings into a much more beautifully poetic piece than I ever could. Lana Del Rey’s music is especially perfect for me when I get upset over a guy and just want to drown in my sorrows or get hit in the feelings.

Although heartbreak sucks, there is some solace in knowing that you are not alone. If even Lana Del Rey has gone through things …

20 Quotes About Adulthood Perfectly Describe What ‘Becoming An Adult’ Actually Means

< ?xml encoding="utf8mb4" ?>

Becoming a grown up isn’t as great as they say it’s going to be.

Adulting is the worst. We’ve all thought that at one point or another. You say to yourself, “I wish I could be a kid again. Life was so much easier.” But unfortunately, time doesn’t move backwards. So, here you are, stuck as an adult.

But what does it mean to be adult? Legally, the government considers a person an adult when they turn 18. And yet you can’t drink until you’re 21. Also, most people don’t graduate college until they’re 22. So at what point should you really be considered an adult? With so many life checkpoints, it’s hard to say exactly when that begins.

In my opinion, being a true adult doesn’t really start until you’ve graduated college (if that was your chosen path). When you’re in college, it’s more like you’re a pre-adult. Legally you can do things and by the end you can drink, but you’re still not sure what the best way to do laundry is. It’s like the purgatory of age.

Honestly, I don’t think anybody really knows when they become an adult. It’s something that just sort of happens. One day you wake up and you realize you can’t ride the same roller coasters you used to. Responsibilities like paying bills and work parties pile up and you come to the conclusion that you are officially an adult.

But let’s come back to the question of what does it mean to be an adult. Everyone probably has a different definition. Maybe it’s as soon as you enter the workforce, or maybe it’s as big as buying a house. Whatever you choose to go with, there’s really no one true answer. And really, there doesn’t need to be one. We all have our own way of doing things and approaching life. If everyone did it the same way, life would get pretty boring.

However, if you’re still feeling pretty unsure about being an adult, these words of wisdom about adulthood, growing up quotes and funny adulting memes make things a little more clear.

1. How do you act like an adult?

“It’s been very funny to try to act like an adult. Even getting dressed. Every day, I’m like, ‘Should I wear a blazer and walk around with an umbrella? Do I carry a briefcase?’ Because I’m trying to be

30 Quotes To Help You Deal When You’re At Your Wit’s End

< ?xml encoding="utf8mb4" ?>

Breakups are never easy.

There are times in everyone’s life when life gets tough and brutal, and there’s a point where you are just over it. Your breaking point has been reached. There are steps you can take to make you feel better eventually. There are no quick fixes — feeling it out is the only way.

You need to accept that there’s no going back. No wishes for hope, no stressing about “what could have been” the reality is that it is over.

Deep down we all are like that child who cries to his mom because she got hurt playing on the swing, we all need to let out our emotions. Having times in your day where you can cry, punch a pillow, or just scream will do wonders to your attitude later on. When we don’t let out or emotions we bottle it in and eventually that will pop out no matter what. Whether it is you cutting someone off or you cursing off a loved one.

It’s important to not fall into a victim mentality. When you’re in pain you want the other person who did this to suffer. You want them to pay but that’s just not the reality, the only thing you can control is how you act about it.

Focus on where you are at right now, not where you were 20 days ago. Focusing on the past too much will lead you to now enjoying the present. If you’re out with your friends then enjoy a night with your friends, don’t focus on what happened a while back.

Forgiving the person who wronged you is the last step. It isn’t weakness but the path towards creating a better future for you.

Moving on is much easier said than done. It can take days, months — years even. It will ultimately happen though if you follow those steps, and in the meantime here is some of the best quotes for when you’re over it so you can let go of all of the frustration you must have right now.

1. There’s always a rainbow after the rain.

“When someone leaves, it’s because someone else is about to arrive.”Paulo Coelho

2. Make light out of darkness.

“Heartbroken? Channel your sorrow to become worthy of love. The world will be yours. “― Tapan Ghosh

3. Figure out who you are.

Looking back on all he stood for.

Cameron Boyce, born May, 28 1999 in Los Angeles, California. His Grandmother on his fathers side, Jo Ann Allen Boyce, was one of the Clinton 12 — a group of African American teens who were admitted into the first integrated high school in the south, due to a new law passed by Brown vs. The Board of Education.

Boyce grew up acting, and made his first on screen appearance in a Panic at the Disco music video, The Greene Gentleman (Things Have Changed) in 2008. He played the younger version of the bands guitarist Ryan Ross.

From there he went on to take a role playing Adam Sandler’s son in Grown Ups, which premiered in 2010. That same year, Boyce being a talented break dancer, went on to compete in The Legion Of Extraordinary Dancers.

It was then Disney began to take notice. The next year he took a guest starring role on the hit TV show Good Luck Charlie. He had a bit role in the movie Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer. He was a featured dancer on the show Shake It Up.

It was from there he was cast as his “fame-making” role as Luke Ross in the hit series Jesse. During the audition process he was auditioning for a smaller role, but the casting directors were so impressed by his talent, they created this new role, just for him!

From there he went on to be cast in Disney’s The Descendants and The Descendants Wicked World, Descendants 2 and Descendants 3 where he starred as Carlos, son of Cruella de Vil. The third film will be released after his death.

Cameron Boyce died at age 20 on July 6, 2019. His family released a statement saying that he died in his sleep due to an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated. Boyce was very involved with charity work and thought that everyone, no matter how large or small could make a difference.

25 Funny Quotes About Getting Older That Prove Aging Is A GOOD Thing

< ?xml encoding="utf8mb4" ?>

You live and learn.

We all know it’s coming, but we’re still surprised when the first signs of aging make their debut.

The good news is that getting older is not all about wrinkles, creaky knees and forgetting why we walked into a room. Like wine, we get better with age.

In fact, aging can be a good thing and is kind of funny, too. Getting older can certainly inspire plenty of hilarious and relatable quotes and memes that will surely have you saying, “This is so me!”

One day not so long ago, I was minding my own business listening to satellite radio in the car while my husband drove us to whatever our destination was. Then, it happened — the DJ played a Def Leppard song on the classic rock station. How could this be? Classic rock is Led Zepplin and The Rolling Stones. They were the songs of my parent’s generation and so much older than me. Surely the music I listened to could not be considered classic rock, but here we are.

That’s when I realized I’m getting old.

On the plus side, aging doesn’t happen in a flash. It’s a process. Life is a journey and we’re meant to learn from it every step of the way. The key to accepting it is to change your lens and not solely look at your life as one in gradual decline. While some things may very well be in decline, life can also get exponentially better as well.

Time after time, research shows that older people are happier. The running joke is that they just don’t give a damn, and while that may be true, there are plenty of other factors that contribute to their overall sense of well being.

Older folks have a more positive outlook on life, they are no longer concerned with the minutiae, and there are fewer difficult decisions to make. Sounds pretty great if you ask me.

Here are a few funny quotes and happy birthday memes about getting older to remind you to keep an open mind, because it’s really not that bad and aging can be quite funny.

1. Your goals change.

20 Bittersweet Quotes For When You’re Leaving A Job You Love

< ?xml encoding="utf8mb4" ?>

Thanks for the memories.

There’s this stereotype that everyone hates their job, no matter what it is. That they just can’t stand being there anymore and would quit in a heartbeat. Well, that’s not always the case.

There are people who love their job so much that they would rather not quit it for a new one, which makes leaving it even more difficult when a new employment opportunity comes that’s too hard to pass up.

Some people actually love their job for different reasons. Sometimes we love a job because we enjoy what we do. Other times we love our job because of the friendships we made along the way. Regardless, loving a job so much that you don’t want to leave it for a new one, isn’t as rare as it seems.

Sometimes, we reach a point where we need to move on from where we started. We feel like we’re at a standstill, and we crave some change and adventure.

That sense for a change could mean moving on to a different job for a new employment opportunity.

Getting up and leaving behind a place we loved and found comfort in hurts. We grew as a person as we worked, made memories, had laughs, and made friendships we vow to cherish forever.

Our coworkers became friends that helped keep us motivated and inspired, even on our bad days — and we can’t thank them enough for all the times they were there for us.

This is a scary concept; moving on and doing a brand new thing. We’re scared, yet so excited. But not only are we absolutely ecstatic, we’re also sad.

Our job was more like a hobby for us, rather than a chore. But we realized, we had overstayed our welcome — and it’s time for something new.

The unsettling mix of sadness and joy you’re feeling is normal. Leaving somewhere you grew to love for something new feels wrong, but just know that it’s for the best, and it’s what you have to do.

To battle your negative thoughts about leaving your old job for a new one, here are 20 bittersweet quotes to help you cope with leaving a job you came to love.

If you’re searching for the best quotes and memes to share with the people you love (or just want to feel inspired yourself) … look no further! From the

25 Break Up Quotes To Help You Move On From The Past

< ?xml encoding="utf8mb4" ?>

What’s really holding you back?

Letting go of the past is probably one of the hardest things to do. You might feel like it is easy, especially if the past brings up a lot of bad memories, but what about all of those times when you had to let go of someone or something important to you? Those times were hard to forget or leave.

I’ve always hated when someone has told me to move on or let it go after a breakup.

I can shrug most things off, but there are sometimes when moving on from a situation or person is just NOT going to happen that easily. Take a bad break up; a bad break up with someone who you thought was going to be around forever.

If someone told you to move on and stop worrying about it, would you be so willing to do so? No, probably not. Or a really great job you had to give up because you had to take care of family or move away. It hurts to say, but those are situations where you may never get closure.

And it sucks, but at some point, you DO need to move on and stop worrying what has happened in the past because it only brings you more pain to keep these feelings of lost and regret around.

Okay, I know, I know, saying “move on” is so much easier said than done, but let’s think about ways to actually put this “moving on” into action. When I go through a bad break up, I like to move on by burning everything that reminds me of them. Just kidding.

But removing those things that keep you attached to the past does actually help. And if you’re not in the business of getting rid of things, cleaning is very cathartic.

Deep cleaning your house and your heart can do wonders, trust me. And if all else fails? Cry it out, baby. Sometimes, you just need to let it out until it doesn’t hurt anymore.

But even when it feels like you can’t move on – no matter what it is that’s keeping you from letting go of the past – just remember that you are strong enough to handle anything life can throw your way.

I know it sounds cheesy, and I know I’m not the best person to come to with advice, but …

22 Tough-Love Quotes To Get You Through Nasty Friend Drama

< ?xml encoding="utf8mb4" ?>

No need for negativity in your life.

We’ve all had our fair share of drama. Maybe it was about a boy you liked or were dating, and things just were not going as planned. Or maybe you and your parents were just not seeing eye to eye about an issue. You’ve tried to take care of the drama yourself, but seem to have no luck doing so.

That’s what your friends are for! You know you can go to them to talk about anything and while you hope they’ll take your side, they’ll also tell you the truth. They’ll give you the advice you need to hear or tell you when you’re completely overreacting about a situation.

Maybe you don’t even want to think about your own drama or get advice, you just want to take your mind off of it. So, of course, you turn to your friends. There is no one better to keep you busy and keep you laughing.

They will help you with whatever you’re going through.

But what about when it’s your friend who is creating the drama? Or when her life is just so drama filled that you don’t think you can take it anymore. You’ve gone to her for help but somehow end up being the one to give her advice… again.

Of course, you don’t mind being there for her like she’s been there for you. But lately, she hasn’t been there for you because her own life is just so dramatic that she believes it takes priority.

At that point, you may feel you need to find someone else to go to and separate yourselves for a while until you both figure your drama out.

Or worse, your friend is just completely creating drama among you and your other friends out of nothing. She goes after the same guy as you or another friend, or your ex, even though you told her that is not cool. You just don’t need this kind of girl drama in your life.

When you’re in a situation like this, it’s easy to see that you’re not happy and it’s not healthy. So what can you do? Use these quotes about being completely over dealing with all the friend drama to inspire you to action. Will you rise above, or will you cut it out of your life?

Keeping away from your friend’s drama is the
