20 Healing Quotes For Heartbreak To Help You Get Over Your Crush When They Are Moving On Without You

< ?xml encoding="utf8mb4" ?>

The pain of seeing someone you love with someone else is awful, but survivable.

If you’ve ever had a crush, you know this feeling. That person you like is suddenly going out with someone else. You can’t believe it. After giving yourself all those pep talks in the mirror to ask them out, some guy/girl swoops in and steals your crush away. So now what?

Having your crush taken by someone else is a weird feeling. It’s like having the partial pain of a breakup without actually breaking up with someone.

You tell yourself that they’re the one for you as you find your gaze constantly drifting toward them, but at the same time you can’t seem to build up the courage to tell them your feelings. Then, when it’s all taken away, you feel devastated.

There are a few things you can do to get past this. One would be to find another crush (which is easier said than done). Another way would be to shoot your shot anyways and hope for the best (I wouldn’t recommend this). You could also try just going on a date to maybe at least get your mind off your previous love interest.

Regardless of which route you choose to take, it’s clear that it’s time to move on. Continuing to obsess over someone isn’t going to change anything except turn you into a stalker. Instead, try to figure out what your next best option is. Of course there are a few things you should do automatically, like, don’t suddenly be cold to the person you liked because that sends the wrong message. Just be yourself.

Now if none of those work for you, there’s always the words of wisdom of the ones who came before you (or just the people with more experience). Listen to the wise people who said these quotes about heartbreak, because they’re going to help you get over that crush.

Take a look at the healing quotes below that talk about the kind of courage it takes to move on from love so you can get your head back in the game and find someone even better.

1. Losing what you thought you loved can be beneficial.

“Sometimes we must undergo hardships, breakups, and narcissistic wounds, which shatter the flattering image that we had of ourselves, in order to discover two truths: that we are not who we

20 Relatable Quotes For Anyone Who Has Ever Been Dumped By A Friend

Mourning the loss of a friendship.

When researching quotes for this article, I was trying to find quotes that really captured the heart break of losing a friend. Because that’s what it is: breaking up with a friend is heartbreaking.

When you become friends with someone, truly great friends, you welcome them into your heart. You give them pieces of you. You share hair-ties and secrets and promises of forever. To separate from a friend is to rip out the corner of your heart where they took up space. You are forever altered.

One thing I found disappointing is that most of the quotes I found about lost friendships were bitter. They were angry and cold. Denying that ever a friendship took place. Saying things like “I’ve never lost a friend, but I realized I never truly had one“. What a cruel thing to do to your memory. To distort all of your happiest days into a still picture cut by shards of pain masquerading as hate.

We need to face our hurt feelings with honesty. What we are feeling when we break up with a friend may be anger on the surface, but that is only to cover the hurt we are trying to bury.

The mourning we have planted deep inside of us. In a time of so much loss, don’t add to it by taking back your happy recollections. Don’t rob yourself of your happy thoughts, or one day pixie dust won’t be enough to lift you off the ground. You will be too weighed down by your own resentments.

Take time to mourn. Don’t forget the happy moments because it hurts less. It’s worth the honesty of the pain, for the future of the memory.

1. Loss of love doesn’t have to be solely romantic.

“Friendships cause heartbreaks too” —Wolftyla

2. Sometimes we grow apart from even our most loyal friends.

“Slowly as the years go on, you lose people you never thought you would.”—Xzavior Zulu

3. If a friend allows themselves to be lost, then be willing to let go.

“You don’t lose friends, because real friends can never be lost. You lose people masquerading as friends, and you’re better for it.”— Mandy Hale

4. The loss of a friend isn’t the loss of your life.

“Some people are going to leave, but that’s not the end of your story. That

If anyone understands heartache, it’s T-Swift.

Taylor Swift knows from experience that heartbreak sucks. She’s been through a handful of break ups and they’ve taught her many lessons.

No matter how many times it happens, heartbreak never gets easier to deal with. It can feel like you’re the shell of the fun-loving, lively person you once were and leave you feeling like you’ll never be yourself again. You’ll think of the happy moments you shared, but the breakup will play on repeat in your head. You’ll cry, and while some might stuff their face with ice cream, others can’t even think about food after a breakup.

You might feel like this feeling will last forever, but know that the pain is temporary. Your broken heart will heal with time.

It can take a while to finally get over someone. Moving on is a slow process, but it is doable. Instead of thinking negatively, distract yourself with other thoughts. It’s so important to focus on self-love after a heartbreak. A broken heart can’t break YOU, remember that.

We live and we learn from each relationship we enter, but some lessons are harder to learn than others. Eventually, when the heartbreak fades, you’ll come out stronger than you’ve ever been. In the meantime, cry, grieve, lean on friends and do everything you need to do to feel better. It’s good to let it out before you let it go.

I know how you’re feeling, because I’m dealing with a broken heart as well, but we’ll ge through this together. And if Taylor Swift can get through a heartbreak and move on, so can we!

Here are 20 Taylor Swift quotes about heartbreak and break ups to remind you things will get better. That’s a promise.

25 Best Quotes By Poet Marc P. Robinson That Will Leave You Heartbroken & Inspired

Sometimes, it’s easy to be more supportive of and loving to our friends and family than we are to ourselves. But love goes both ways, and no one knows that better than writer and Instagram poet, Marc P. Robinson. His poetry and quotes seem to reflect his deep understanding of how important it is to cherish love in all of its forms.

So, if you’re ever in need of an inspiration fix or just a reminder to live your own life, do your own thing, and always make room for self-love and self-acceptance, Marc P. Robinson’s poetry is the way to go.

1. Learn to forgive yourself again and again.

“Whether he knew it or not, the life he lived was his penance. Punishing himself, for what he believes are his sins. Consciously or subconsciously, he creates the world he lives in. Never believing that he is deserving happiness, deserving joy. His self-destructive nature, in his eyes, and his eyes only, is justified. Everyone is deserving absolution, but he needs to understand, that he is the only one able to forgive himself.” – Marc P. Robinson

2. Dare to find love again, even when your heart has been broken.

“You are a constant. Forever in my mind; forever in my heart. It seems that most matter how much I try I can’t get rid of you. You are a thorn, stuck in deep; painful to remove, and even when I do, still I’ll bleed and feel the soreness. It will take time, but it will heal. No matter the pain, I will still dare to pick roses.” – Marc P. Robinson

3. Face adversity with a smile on your face. You got this.

“It’s not the adversity, but how you face it.” – Marc P. Robinson

4. Break free from the chains you place on yourself.

“When it comes to the story of my heart, I am the villain, locking it away; denying its right be free. The chains are tight, restricting its growth; long enough to see through the window of opportunity, but the only escape it has, is via the pen. Why do I deny myself the opportunities? I know it comes from a place of protection, but also of fear. I think my heart has grown a resentment because of this betrayal, and has decided, enough is enough.” – Marc P. Robinson

5. Stay true to who
