15 Heartbreaking Lana Del Rey Lyrics About The One Who Got Away

< ?xml encoding="utf8mb4" ?>

Lana knows all about not being able to move on.

Everyone has that one person they just can’t seem to get over. Maybe you have accepted that you can’t have a relationship with this person, but the feelings are still there — or maybe you keep going back to them hoping things might improve.

There’s something about going through a continuous cycle of heartache with the same person and feeling unable to get over someone that just makes you feel so powerless and out of control.

It’s almost as if this person has you under their spell and there’s no way to break it.

Often times, the one who got away is not always the best to you, yet you choose to look past it because you are so blinded by love.

For me, I’ve given guys multiple chances because I felt so strongly about them and could see their potential, but there were so many character flaws that I waited for them to fix, only to find them incapable of doing so. Although it was hard, I had to do what was best for me and let these people go. You would think this would be easy to do, especially if they are heavily flawed, but it’s hard to let someone go who you still care about deeply.

If you are anything like me when it comes to heartbreak and lost love, you likely take every sad love song you hear and imagine that song as if it were written about your life. You find common ground between the protagonists in these songs and wonder how a songwriter can perfectly describe exactly how you are feeling, down to the smallest detail. For me, that songwriter is Lana Del Rey.

Known for her unique Hollywood sad-core style music, her ability to write song lyrics in a way that captures my exact feelings, when I am unable to fully articulate them myself, is exactly what I need when I’m feeling down. She’s able to put my feelings into a much more beautifully poetic piece than I ever could. Lana Del Rey’s music is especially perfect for me when I get upset over a guy and just want to drown in my sorrows or get hit in the feelings.

Although heartbreak sucks, there is some solace in knowing that you are not alone. If even Lana Del Rey has gone through things …

15 Elton John Quotes About Music & Some Of His Most Famous Song Lyrics About Love

The Rocket Man’s best sayings.

The flashy and flamboyant Elton John is one of the most successful solo artists to grace the Earth. His mass success saw him sell over 300 million records, produce more than fifty Top 40 hits, and have 27 top 10 singles, including nine number one songs. He collaborated with lyricist Bernie Taupin to create songs that blended styles of rock and pop.

Born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in March of 1947, Elton grew up in a semi-conservative household. His parents’ affinity for music proved to be a good environment for developing his talent. At age three, Elton had taught himself how to play the piano, his instrument of choice.

John’s ascension in music came in the early 70s. Number one songs became a regularity for the singer/songwriter. His live shows garnered attention as he would wear lavish, over-the-top outfits and his iconic glasses. Of these outfits, he said “I wasn’t a sex symbol like Bowie, Marc Bolan or Freddie Mercury, so I dressed more on the humorous side, because if I was going to be stuck at the piano for two hours, I was going to make people look at me.”

Taking a break from music later that decade saw Elton announce that he was bisexual. This was not well received at the time, and the singer was taunted for his sexuality. He later came out as gay, and became an icon for the LGBTQ community.

The 80s and 90s saw Elton become an advocate for AIDS awareness. An issue which hit close to him, as he acknowledged he could have contracted the disease and lost friends to it.

Elton John’s accolades and awards are seemingly endless. He has won multiple Grammy and Brit awards along with a Tony and an Academy award. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994. Four years later, he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II.

An astounding career for an astounding man. Elton John and lyricist collaborated to make some iconic songs. Here are some of the best Elton John quotes and song lyrics from some of his most famously known music:

1. Music heals.

Music has healing power. It has the ability to take people out of themselves for a few hours.” — Elton John

2. Feeling pain.

Do you still feel the pain of the scars that won’t heal? Your eyes have

arianagrandesonglyricsbadass - 18 Ariana Grande Song Lyrics & Unforgettable Music Videos That Make You Feel Like A Badass

You see it. You like it. You want it? You got it.

Ariana Grande is a symbol of female empowerment that is inspiring women across the globe to embrace their true personalities and flaunt their flaws. Her music has skyrocketed to the top of the charts like clockwork. She is a style inspiration comprised of equal parts adorable and sexy. Basically, Ari is our idol.

Even though she is an international pop star, she has had her fair share of bad luck. Relationships have always been a tricky subject for Ariana. In 2016, Ariana Grande started dating the famous rapper, Mac Miller. The two put a lot of their relationship in the public eye, recording songs together and being photographed by the paparazzi.

Miller supported Grande through the 2017 terrorist attack at her Manchester concert, which took the lives of 23 individuals. She was very public about the toll the attack too on her mental health and well being. It changed her as an artist and as a person.

In May of 2018, the couple broke up. About a month later, Ariana Grande had a new boyfriend, actor and comedian Pete Davidson. The romance was a tsunami, to say the least. The relationship moved very fast. The couple was engaged a few weeks after announcing their relationship. They were recorded making out in public and were rarely photographed apart.

In September of 2018, Ari’s ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, passed away due to an overdose. Again, she was sent into a dark hole of emotion and grief. About four months into her engagement with Davidson, they split up. Thus, “Thank U, Next” was born!

What makes Grande such an inspiration to so many young women is her determination and optimistic outlook on life. She is always cheering for herself and her fans. She wants everyone to know that they are loved, no matter what they look like, how they dress, or who they’re attracted to. She preaches love and acceptance. She is the ultimate badass!

i love singing to y’all so much. seeing your faces makes me so fuckin happy. your reactions to everything are so sweet and funny, i look forward to it so much in between shows. thanks for your energy n for being in my life and allowing this to be my life bye.

songlyricsaboutlove 0 - 18 Best Songs That Perfectly Describe What Falling Head-Over-Heels In Love Feels Like

Songs often hold the answers that we don’t have.

Music has been around for as long as life itself. Throughout the years talented individuals have been providing us the soundtracks for all of our biggest moments. From falling head-over-heels in love to weddings to graduations to birthdays, nothing makes a moment perfect quite like a good song.

But beyond soundtracks, sometimes music fills a bigger role. It can comfort us in our time of need, motivate us to work hard or even help us figure out how we feel. Music can be the emotional guidebook that we weren’t ever given.

When we look for answers in music there’s really no telling what we’ll find. Maybe you find that perfect song that makes you think “this is about me!” Or maybe while looking for new music, you find what you think is the weirdest song ever.

Probably the most common theme in songs is love. I mean, it’s the feeling that’s always in the air right? You can search for love songs on Google and get thousands of results. But just because you find one doesn’t mean it will give you an answer.

There are so many different kinds of love. Is the song about love for a person? Love for a dog? How about a love of food? It can be hard to tell sometimes.

Falling in love is an emotional rollercoaster. There are times where it seems clear as day, and other times when you are just so absolutely confused. You might start asking yourself, “what is love? Do I really know?” If you asked 100 people that question, you’d probably get 100 different answers. It’s not really clear cut, but luckily there’s always music and song lyrics about love to point you in the right direction.

It’s true that you may find just as many different answers, but you can think of it as a love search bar. Want to know what heartbreak feels like? Or how about love at first sight?

No matter the wondering, it’s nearly a guarantee that there’s a song about it. So take a look at our collection of the best love songs and emotional song lyrics about love that will hit you right in the feels.

20 Best Frank Ocean Songs With Raw, Genuine Lyrics For When Life Gets You Down

< ?xml encoding="utf8mb4" ?>

Music for when you’re sad, anxious, lonely, contemplative, drunk, hungover, happy and nostalgic.

Anyone who knows me knows I love Frank Ocean. I have all his albums, know almost every word to each of his songs, flew to Los Angeles to see him live (I cried my eyes out the entire show) and have a shirt with his beautiful face on it.

But my devotion to him goes much further than simply liking and listening to his music. It’s much more transcendental than that. His music touches me in so many ways and each lyrically rich verse and melodic tune is significant for me in different ways and reminds me of certain stages in my life.

Frank Ocean’s first studio album, channel ORANGE, came out in the summer of 2012 when I was beginning my Junior year of college. When I listen to the album now, I’m instantly transported back to a time when my roommates and I would blast Frank Ocean’s songs in our apartment all day or when we would go to the beach and play his music through our portable speakers. That album got me through long, sleepless nights of homework and cramming for exams.

When I studied abroad in Spain, I would play his album whenever I was feeling homesick and missed my friends. It brought me so much comfort to know they were at home singing along to the same songs I was.

His highly anticipated second album, Blond, was released in the summer of 2016. It came out at a time when I was starting a new chapter in my life — a new house, new job and new friends. When I listen to that album, I think of my summer romance and the countless times we would drive around in his car, listening and singing along to Frank Ocean.

When I’m sad, anxious, lonely, contemplative, drunk, hungover, happy, stoned, aloof or nostalgic, I turn on Frank Ocean, and he helps put my mind at ease.

Despite his obvious musical talents, which have won him two Grammys and seven nominations, Frank Ocean just has an authentic aurora about him that captivates me, along with so many others.

Ocean is not a celebrity. He is an artist. He stays out of the spotlight as much as possible and uses his God-given talents to speak his truth, create and share with the public. His music …

20 Ariana Grande Song Lyrics Anyone Who Has Ever Been In Love Can Relate To

< ?xml encoding="utf8mb4" ?>

These lyrics will hit you right in the feels.

Ariana Grande had a crazy year for love, to say the least. She fell in love with Pete Davidson and got engaged all in a short amount of time, her ex, Mac Miller, died, and she broke off her aforementioned engagement. Maybe you didn’t have something that extreme happen to you last year, but we can all agree that love can be messy.

Love is full of happiness, excitement, pain and suffering all in one. The more you love someone, the more you feel and the more you can hurt.

Falling in love is a lot like gambling. You’re putting your heart on the line knowing that this could either be the greatest experience of your life or it could end in a devastating heartbreak.

Regardless of what happens, we know that love is worth it in the end. As the saying goes, “It’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.”

We learn so much from loving people and the lessons we take away from past relationships will only help you love someone even better in your future relationship.

Overall, love is a relatable topic in general because we all feel it and experience it. We may each have very different love stories, but the way we feel when we’re in love is the same. The butterflies, the laughing, the nervousness — all of it is relatable and all of it is included in Ariana Grande’s music.

She may be a celebrity, but she’s a human being like all of us, who feels the same emotions when it comes to love and loss. Many of her song lyrics are about falling for someone and you can definitely relate her words to your own love life.

Here are 20 best Ariana Grande quotes and song lyrics about love and relationships that can relate to your own love life.

1. When you end things with the one you thought you’d be with forever.

“And we almost knew what love was, but almost is never enough.” — Almost Is Never Enough

2. When you are head over heels for someone.

“I’m so into you I can barely breathe.” — Into You

3. When you wish you could have him for just one more night.

Royals was just the beginning…

She became interested in performing as a child and eventually signed with Universal Music Group in her early teens.

Lorde’s first single came out in 2013, Royals. This song hit the charts everywhere and resulted in her becoming the youngest solo artist to get a number one single on the US Billboard Hot 100 since 1987. Her accomplishments go on and on including a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song, winning two Grammy Awards, and even two Brit Awards.

She isn’t just a musician, she likes to include subgenres into her music and pours herself into her lyrics.
