16 Life-Changing Love Quotes From The Internet’s Most Mysterious Poet

< ?xml encoding="utf8mb4" ?>

Who is Atticus?

Odds are, you’ve probably been stopped in your tracks by one of these before — an image of a short, simple love quote in old-school typewriter-like font, packed with an insane amount of insight/emotion/eloquence and simply signed “Atticus.”

With 1.2 million followers on Instagram and growing, the poet, who famously appears in public only if wearing a mask to conceal his identity, is now a New York Time bestselling author, having published two collections of his poetry — Love Her Wild (2017) and The Dark Between Stars (2018). His third, The Truth About Magic, is due to be released in September 2019.

Who is Atticus?

We were dying to know who this mysterious modern-day bard is, too, but when we reached out via email, he insisted on remaining anonymous.

We did do a little bit of research, and here’s what we learned from the folks at The Globe and Mail and at America Magazine, who were fortunate enough to snag interviews with him.

  • He’s from British Columbia
  • He’s “in the kind of older 20s” (or he was as of 2017)
  • He bounces around a lot between Canada, Europe and L.A. (living in Venice Beach when he’s there)
  • He wears a mask at public events less to protect his identity and more “as a symbol to ‘remind himself to always write what he feels instead of what he thinks he should feel.'”

We may not know much about Atticus, but one thing’s for sure: this poet knows an awful lot about love and life.

Whether you’re in love, heartbroken, or simply enjoying life, we can all agree that these words profoundly stir our very souls.

For all the lovers and broken-hearted alike, here are 16 of the best love quotes from Atticus’ Instagram love poems.

1. Because we all crave love, no matter how bad it can hurt …

“It seems to me, that love could be labeled poison and we’d drink it anyways.”

2. Love someone for all they are, not just what’s on the outside …

“She had the most beautiful thing I had ever seen and it took only her laugh to realize that beauty was the least of her.”

3. Because imperfection is beautiful …

“She was so flawed, so perfectly flawed, so perfectly flawed for me.”

4. A simple touch can mean everything.

“The words never meant much, that’s not how …

25 Tough Love Quotes To Get You Through Anything Life Throws At You

< ?xml encoding="utf8mb4" ?>

We are all in need of a little tough love sometimes.

We all need a bit of tough love.

Whether it is coming from your best friend who is worried about your current relationship, or your boss who is concerned about your work performance. Sometimes tough love is the push we need to get our butts into gear and take back control of our lives.

A lot of the time, we think of tough love as a negative thing – who wants someone they’re super close to telling them that they need to do better?

Instead of viewing tough love and criticism as a bad thing, look at it as an eye opener.

The people you surround yourself with and that love you the most feel that your life is slipping away and want to help you realize it before it is too late.

Tough love forces us to take responsibility for our actions; it can literally save lives when it comes to those suffering from addiction issues or mental health problems. Tough love can also help us with simple, daily tasks that we are just too lazy to get done. When your mom tells you she isn’t letting you go out for the night wtih your friends until you clean your room and finish your homework, that is tough love!

We all need it from time to time. Your best friends and family will be the ones throwing tough love your way and it is important to take it to heart – unless you really don’t agree, then it is time for a sit down chat about how you all feel.

Regardless of the tough love you receive, here are 25 tough love quotes about how important being tough with the people we love is and the humor that can surround it sometimes. There are also some quotes thrown in there that maybe you need to hear right now. If there isn’t a person in your life giving you the tough love you need, consider me that person now!

We have all either been the person receiving or giving the tough love, right?

1. Receiving tough love is never easy, especially when you know the person is right

“I’m not telling you it is going to be easy, I’m telling you it is going to be worth it” Unknown

2. And ain’t that the truth

“Tough love may

20 Healing Quotes For Heartbreak To Help You Get Over Your Crush When They Are Moving On Without You

< ?xml encoding="utf8mb4" ?>

The pain of seeing someone you love with someone else is awful, but survivable.

If you’ve ever had a crush, you know this feeling. That person you like is suddenly going out with someone else. You can’t believe it. After giving yourself all those pep talks in the mirror to ask them out, some guy/girl swoops in and steals your crush away. So now what?

Having your crush taken by someone else is a weird feeling. It’s like having the partial pain of a breakup without actually breaking up with someone.

You tell yourself that they’re the one for you as you find your gaze constantly drifting toward them, but at the same time you can’t seem to build up the courage to tell them your feelings. Then, when it’s all taken away, you feel devastated.

There are a few things you can do to get past this. One would be to find another crush (which is easier said than done). Another way would be to shoot your shot anyways and hope for the best (I wouldn’t recommend this). You could also try just going on a date to maybe at least get your mind off your previous love interest.

Regardless of which route you choose to take, it’s clear that it’s time to move on. Continuing to obsess over someone isn’t going to change anything except turn you into a stalker. Instead, try to figure out what your next best option is. Of course there are a few things you should do automatically, like, don’t suddenly be cold to the person you liked because that sends the wrong message. Just be yourself.

Now if none of those work for you, there’s always the words of wisdom of the ones who came before you (or just the people with more experience). Listen to the wise people who said these quotes about heartbreak, because they’re going to help you get over that crush.

Take a look at the healing quotes below that talk about the kind of courage it takes to move on from love so you can get your head back in the game and find someone even better.

1. Losing what you thought you loved can be beneficial.

“Sometimes we must undergo hardships, breakups, and narcissistic wounds, which shatter the flattering image that we had of ourselves, in order to discover two truths: that we are not who we

26 Strength Quotes For Women Who Need An Encouraging Daily Bible Verse

< ?xml encoding="utf8mb4" ?>

To being strong inside and out!

Do you love having a daily Bible verse to read? When you pick a quote about strength it doesn’t hurt to think it comes as a little blessing from God.

As a young teenager, I remember opening my Bible and closing my eyes as I let the pages sift through my fingers. I’d drop it flat on the table and put my finger down on the page hoping that the daily inspiration I received would be picked by change.

So many times a verse I memorized as a child became manna for the future. Like little ticking time bombs, a word would finally make sense years later.

One time, while in the hospital delivering my 3rd child too early than I was supposed to, I was terrified about my heath and feared death. I remembered my grandmother loved Proverbs 23, and so I meditated on each phrase until my son was born.

How amazing those words became to me. I had never appreciated a single verse from that chapter, I suppose because I didn’t have to. Yet, during my time of need, the same chapter that my grandmother prayed each day became my mantra during the darkest night.

Bible verses about strength are inspiring for busy women, Christian or not.

From losing a friendship to gaining weight, sometimes things happen in life that just plain should not. It’s nothing you did.

It’s nothing you didn’t do which can zap your energy just trying to fix a problem you didn’t create.

And if you did, it’s ever harder dealing with the fear and guilt of it all.

But when unexpected and expected change does happen, there’s this tiny emotional alarm that goes off inside and asks, “What could I have done differently? How could I have prevented this from happening?”

The intuitive nature of a woman drives her to think things over — and then think them over some more.

Doing so brings many blessings, along with an awareness of a few dangers. Looking inside can teach us important lessons, but staring into an abyss of regret ruins lives.

And it’s especially hard to look inside for answers when it seems there simply may not be any to find, or when those we find just don’t make any sense.

Rehashing different scenarios can foster a sense of fear when what a woman really wants is …

Interestingly, during an interview with Howard Stern, Jackson explained that his famous use of curse words actually help him control his speech impediment.

Early in his career, Jackson moved to New York to pursue his career in acting (after a 2 year stint of social working in Los Angeles right out of college), and earned several off-Broadway gigs before finally reaching his “break out” role in Pulp Fiction in 1994, directed by  Quentin Tarantino.

< ?xml encoding="utf8mb4" ?>

So romantic!

Being in love is one of the best things a person can experience. No one can deny the value of a partner who sticks with you through thick and thin.

The people who we fall in love with are like our best friends who teach us more about life, love and even ourselves. There’s a reason for all those novels, movies, songs and romantic quotes about true love. Love is such a powerful, indescribable feeling.

When you’re looking high and low for your bae, true love might seem impossible to find, but once you find it, treasure it.

Because real, true, raw love is amazing.

There’s nothing better than having a partner who you can do pretty much anything with. This is the person who listens to you talk on and on about your day, or who curls up with you on the couch to watch a television show after a long day.

You can comfortably do nothing with them, or you could do everything with them. That’s the thing about loving someone — you don’t really care what you two do as long as you are together.

Sometimes, all we need to re-ignite that flame in our relationships again (everything dulls with time) are a few cute quotes to remind you how much you really love your boo.

These 13 true love quotes will definitely remind you of what it means to love your special someone.

1. Love is encouraging.

“All that you are is all that I will never need.” — Ed Sheeran, “Tenerife Sea”

27 Motivational Quotes By Tom Brady About Winning & Leading A Successful Life

< ?xml encoding="utf8mb4" ?>

“If you don’t believe in yourself why is anyone else going to believe in you?”

When you look at Tom Brady today, you see a super-successful guy at the top who’s married to one of the highest paid supermodels in the world, has many SuperBowl rings and is arguably the greatest quarterback of all time. Seeing him from the top down, it’s easy to assume he’s gotten lucky, but many people don’t know about where he first started out.

Tom Brady’s early life was nothing glorious — it was a constant struggle for recognition. He was just a normal guy, he didn’t even start as a quarterback his entire time in college. He wasn’t taken seriously — he was skinny and picked in the 6th round.

What the scouts failed to look at, though, was his heart and undying determination. Tom Brady’s love for the game — the fact that he can’t see himself doing anything else. What made Brady different and what the scouts didn’t look at: is his work ethic, coachability, discipline.

A lot of people think they work hard and think that they do enough to receive gratitude, but it’s hard to look in the mirror and imagine what it really takes to be successful. Can you truly say that you have done one thing, every single day for your whole life? Have you gotten up randomly at night not being able to sleep because you believe that if you do XYZ you’ll be closer to your dreams?

Tom Brady is an inspiration and his journey shows that whatever it is you want to do in your life, you can make it with a lot of hard work. What starts first is believing in yourself, when you’re in the 6th round in your life, everyone is casting you aside. What will you do? Are you going to give up? Or are you going to fight to prove people wrong?

Take a look at some of the best motivational quotes by Tom Brady to get a better idea of his life story and what it took to become as successful as he is now.

1. Don’t accept the victim mindset.

You can’t lose with these.

Sometimes, when you break up with someone, the love you have for them still stays strong — so you do what you can to try to win them back.

3. Tell her that you can’t go on without her.

“I never fully realized what it meant to hurt (to truly hurt) until I wanted you to such a great extent, only to have no other choice but to convince myself that I didn’t.”

4. Tell her you still think of her.

“I still search for you in crowds, in empty fields and soaring clouds. In city lights and passing cars, on winding roads and wishing stars. I wonder where you could be now, for years I’ve not said your name out loud. And long since I called you mine — time has passed for …
