“You have enemies? Good. That means you stood up for something in your life.” – Winston Churchill
When someone feels like they’re doing something meaningful — something they were meant to do — then they are truly living the dream. But living the dream isn’t always easy, and like it or not, people don’t always support your dreams.
When you live by your purpose, you do the little things to perfect it. You stay up until 4 a.m. making sure you’re fulfilling your purpose, you sacrifice time with friends and family to sharpen your skills or you think about your purpose every night before you go to bed and when you wake up.
Unfortunately, though, there are nay-sayers in the world that say you there’s no real purpose in life, and there are people who don’t have your back — maybe someone told you that you shouldn’t be here, that you can’t make it.
Don’t forget what it felt like to have someone you care about turn their back on you.
Instead, you can use the pain to give you an advantage in life, and use those times as fuel to help you overcome challenges you’re bound to face. You’re not soft.
Your purpose and your love for your dreams are what keeps you going, even when it’s you against the world.
So keep pursuing your dreams, even when no one believes in you or supports you in the way you would like. Persevere even when your enemies talk behind your back — use their words to remind you of every negative thought you may have and let it motivate you to prove them all wrong.
Despite all of the obstacles I’ve had to overcome in life (just like all of us), I came to learn to appreciate the struggle and have nothing but gratitude for every setback, unfair consequence and adversity that I faced.
The quality of your life directly relates to the questions that you ask yourself every day. If you keep asking yourself things like, “Why is this happening to me?” and “Should I give up?” you will continue to feel unsatisfied with your life. But if you tell yourself, “I got this!” and “I will never give up!” you begin to feel better about your life and you’re able to have your own back.
Telling yourself these positive affirmations and supporting and believing in yourself on a regular basis can transform your mood from good to great, so use these inspirational quotes to help you change the way you look at your life, find your purpose and learn to persevere in the face of adversity.
