Say “Happy Valentine’s Day” to the best girls in your life.
Valentine’s Day is a day of love and appreciation and letting others know how you truly feel about them. This is typically a holiday that seems to be reserved for people in a romantic relationship, but I think it’s also a celebration of love for anybody who has someone special in their life.
Family relationships are bonds formed by blood and marriage, and prove to be some of the deepest types of love out there.
So what better time or way to tell your daughter you love her by sending her some sweet quotes than on Valentine’s Day?
When I was growing up and living at home still, my dad would make a Valentine’s day breakfast for me, my sister and my mom. He would make heart-shaped pancakes decorated with heart shaped candies for the holiday, and he would give each of us a loving Valentine’s day card with sweet messages inside. I remember looking forward to Valentine’s Day every year because of this tradition my dad put in to place.
I didn’t have a boyfriend or any significant others to share Valentine’s Day with until I was older, but the day was still meaningful to me because I was able to know that people in my life still loved me and wanted to do something selfless to show those people how much I love them back. It was a tender blessing.
My dad isn’t the only one who wants to express love for his daughters — many of us find it hard to find the right words to say, other than the typical, “Happy Valentine’s Day, Daughter!”, so we’ve collected a few examples of parent-daughter love with these sweet Valentine’s Day messages for kids — just in case you might need inspiration to tell your daughter you love her this year.
