50 Inspirational Quotes To Look To For Positivity During a Crisis

Looking to a few inspirational quotes during a crisis can get your head back in the right place.

It’s okay to be afraid while staying positive, and if you look to some inspirational quotes during a crisis, they can help you get your head in the right place.

Right now a lot of us are worried about the coronavirus pandemic, scared to be exposed to COVID-19, and quarantined to our houses for months on end.

To say we’re feeling hopeless right now is an understatement. But hopeless or not, there are ways to bring positivity back into your life, no matter your situation.

If someone always smiles and posts positive Instagram photos all the time, it makes others wonder if they’re human, right? Having a ‘business as usual’ attitude defeats personal relationships with others, so holding back the way we’re feeling can create an emotional numbness. Especially on social media.

When we express total abundance, then we forget about scarcity sneaking upon us. Even if a crisis isn’t in the same location as ours, it’s important we recognize the world as one. Identifying danger or scarcity expresses attentiveness to others as a nation and our community.

Wondering how you can strengthen your positivity during a crisis when you’re feeling stuck in your emotions?

First, it’s important to stay connected with family and loved ones. Building on the relationships that mean the most to us gives us something to always look forward to, as well as provides a support system that many of us will need to rely on when things get tough.

Next, try exercising — moving your body in some way. Especially if you’re quarantined at home for months on end, exercising in our homes builds our immune system, and it’s one of the healthiest activities to work through our anxieties.

Finally, find peace in your feelings and learn how to deal with your emotions in a positive way. YouTube is a great resource to look up motivational videos to help get you through difficult times. I recommend listening to Alan Watts, Eric Thompson, Les Brown, or Simon Sinek to pull through on sharing positive messages.

Meditation and yoga also help foster positive emotions, by focusing on the important aspect of life and self-care, so if you’re not so much into working up a sweat, use your time at home to focus on yourself and finding balance in your …

40 Positive Quotes To Live By During Coronavirus Quarantine

We need to stay positive despite the negative world issues around us.

I think we can all agree that being in quarantine during the coronavirus pandemic sucks. There are so few things good about it, especially during this devastating time. Obviously, it’s important to abide by stay-at-home rules because we risk putting others’ lives in jeopardy if we don’t follow the guidelines put in place. However, things can start to get really boring if you’re stuck inside week after week with no sure answer as to when this all will be over.

I guess if you’re an introvert, quarantine at home is really nothing new for you. In fact, it might be worse for you because now you’re not just alone at home, your family, loved ones and roommates are all there all the time too. So really this situation isn’t ideal for anyone.

There are so many different creative things that people are doing to keep themselves busy. It’s cool to see people get creative with their time — makes me wish I owned my own house to paint an accent wall or redo the decorations, too.

Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on the perspective you look at it with) I’m not very bored. With the quarantine, I have time to work on my internship in the morning and work for my part-time job every evening, so I’m pretty occupied. I actually find myself wishing I had more spare time to just relax and read my book or watch TV. But I can understand how that could get tiresome fast.

If you’re bored or frustrated during quarantine, it’s as good a time as any to catch up on journaling or finishing up that book you never got all the way through — or maybe try your hand at a few puzzles. This is also a good time to test everyone’s creativity to see how good they are at coming up with things to do to keep themselves occupied.

My sister said to me the other day, “aren’t you glad you don’t have a boyfriend during quarantine because then you wouldn’t be able to see him?” I told her immediately, “No, you can bet your buns if I had a partner, I’d for sure force him to be quarantined with me.” So, ladies, if you’ve got a guy, love that boo and enjoy your quarantine together — and if you can’t …

What Is Tao? + 13 Quotes From Eastern Philosophy To Help You Cope With Coronavirus Anxiety

As they say, do the Tao now.

Many of us have turned to spiritual books and meditational practices in order to cope with the unrelenting stress that our present COVID-19 situation gives us. With nothing but time on our hands, we’re home and we’re starting to grow bored.

Yes, it’s fun to pretend this is one big Netflix-Hulu-Prime Marathon of the Gods, but the truth is, we’re nervous, and television entertainment is only acting as a band-aid, a temporary suture for our fear and depression.

I have been a student of Eastern philosophy for my entire life, and though I’m not a religious person, I do dabble in the practices that give me peace and lift me up. I’ve lived in an ashram where I studied yoga and pranayama, the practice of breathing; read all the books by Alan Watts on Zen Buddhism; grew up with Paganism and Witchcraft; learned the ways of High Magick, tantra and mantra meditation.

It was always hard for me to walk the Abrahamic paths, and Western religions left me cold. Of all the paths I’ve walked, the one that works best for me is the Tao. And it is the Tao that is getting me through the crisis.

What is the Tao?

It is the way, the path, the road. It is the natural order of the universe. It is nature.

The Tao, pronounced “dow,” is a mysterious concept, not able to be fully known, but intuited, felt. The Tao is the universe, and our awareness of it as infinite, perfect and eternally nameless. The study of the Tao is called Taoism.

How can the Tao help you get through the Coronavirus crisis?

When we align ourselves with the Tao, we are in full acceptance of nature and her ways. It is the moment we know in our heart that what is happening at any given moment is both part of the plan and as it should be, no matter what is occurring.

This may feel uncomfortable at first, but when we know ourselves as part of the ever flowing universal energy, we fear nothing and accept all. We become bigger than our limited understanding of this terrifying virus. We become at peace with all things.

The wisdom of the Tao is brought to us by the enlightened being named Lao Tzu, who gave us the magnificent manuscript entitled Tao te Ching: The Book

60 Funny Coronavirus Memes To Help You Stop Panicking Over This Worldwide Pandemic

You better be washing those hands!

As cases of the coronavirus — aka COVID-19 — have surfaced worldwide and governments around the world are taking steps to prevent (or at least limit) the spread of the virus, the best thing you can do is to ensure that you take you to care of your body and hygiene by washing your hands properly. If you cannot get to a bathroom or sink, keep hand sanitizer near you like you would your wallet. That is, if you can find any hand sanitizer (this, along with hundreds of other household items are inconveniently sold out in stores all across the nation as people panic and grab more than they need. Naturally.)

There have been many people questioning the symptoms of this infection and the severity of it. According to the cdc.gov, “common virus that causes an infection in your nose, sinuses, or upper throat”. But in some cases, symptoms of the coronavirus can become severe in some immunocompromised patients and can lead to pneumonia, breathing difficulties … and even death.

The effects of this pandemic have reached all points of the globe, and at this point, businesses, schools and large events across the country are canceling and postponing their activities indefinitely until further notice. Huge sports organizations such as the NBA and MLB have followed suit.

People would normally be ecstatic about having the opportunity to take time off from work or school to spend time with their families, but things are looking more and more serious by the minute, with the government urging us to stay in our homes, avoid large crowds, and generally self-quarantine to be safe from the spread of the illness. When we start to think about the children who look forward to eating school breakfast and lunch during school come the end of Spring break, we begin to hope that we find a cure for COVID-19 sooner, rather than later.

Also with the thought about traveling, now we’re talking about how risking infection to experience life and planned vacations can be sad and overwhelming.

Social media has mixed emotions regarding the outbreak. There are funny memes and videos that make you laugh so you won’t think about the severity of this outbreak, and others that make you think twice about opening your doors or going to your office — or even shopping at your local grocery store.

But …

Bible Verses For Lonely Singles Who Are Tired Of Social Distancing

Think of it as a prolonged me-time.

Social distancing is hard for everyone, and if you’re single it can be lonely at times.

Spending time alone is not always a bad thing, but when you’ve been away from your friends for weeks at a time, you start to feel the impact more.

A part of you may think that if you had someone social distancing would be easier than it feels right now, and you wouldn’t be so tired by loneliness.

At least then, you’d be tired of being home with someone (perhaps) than having no option at all.

It can appear that someone who is in a relationship, living with family members or single at home with kids, has an easier time being distant from others because they have people there to help fight against loneliness.

When you’re single, and if you live alone, you do not have that option.

Social distancing can mean weeks before you get a hug or hang out with a friend, see the mom or dad you don’t live with in-person, with the element of human touch included.

Now at the moment, I’m not single but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to tell you to enjoy this time.

Also, I’m not going to tell you that you won’t find love again, cause whether you’ve never been in a relationship, or you’re a newly single, we all run our course on the single life.

You really need to not take this time for granted, especially because you don’t want to have to miss it.

When you meet the right person it could make you never want to go back, cause being with them is better than being alone.

I will say my first experience with the single like most of us was when I was younger, but I personally feel you really appreciate it when you’re fresh out of a relationship.

That’s when you involve yourself in the world of dating and start realizing how dry your phone actually is.

Now I get that you’re possibly going through a tough time right now being single and don’t feel the best with your current situation.

I don’t want to push the, “You’ll meet someone” button because you will but right now you need to be happy on your own and find out what’s really lowering your spirits at the moment.

So overall being single is …

40 Going Crazy Quotes To Help You Stay Sane (Sort-Of) When You’re Quarantined During The Coronavirus Pandemic

We went from obsessions with social media to social distancing.

As work, school, concerts, restaurants, sporting events, the gym and life as we know it has been canceled, postponed or shut down due to COVID-19 pandemic, we might find ourselves “going crazy” — being stuck in the house during quarantine with nowhere to go, worrying about this new crisis that struck our world.

We have been advised (and even enforced) to self-quarantine due to this global pandemic, but it doesn’t mean that we can’t still enjoy ourselves and our loved ones from a distance.

Since we are advised to remain inside — whether in self-quarantine or isolation — during this time, it is a great way to protect ourselves and loved ones from the potential exposure to this virus. But since we have to remain indoors for the next couple of weeks, we have to remember to try not to go crazy when we’re feeling cooped up. So these “going crazy” quotes can be super relatable when you’re tired of being alone.

As a society, we are used to going outside and enjoying the great things that life gives us and we often take it for granted. For example, work and school can be tiring and overwhelming, but we forget that our school and work friends and conversations during the day can play a huge role in our lives by giving us daily interaction with others.

We are used to being able to do and go wherever we want and to enjoy seeing our friends and family, so with this virus going around I know it can be frustrating to be forced to stay in the house even if it’s for our own good.

Try to remember to use all of the technology we have to FaceTime our friends and family, Google some in-home workouts, try to cook meals that will boost our immune systems and try to do something in your home that you have been putting off the last few months such as reading a book or assemble your child’s Christmas toy that you have been putting off.

If you just are not in the mood to do any of these things and you just want to vent and relate to the other people who feel a little crazy, too, here are some quotes about going crazy while stuck in the house to help you remember that you …

50 Encouraging Coronavirus Quotes About Social Distancing To Help You Cope With The Isolation

Motivational quotes that encourage you to save lives by staying home.

What’s the difference between quarantine and isolation, and why has social distancing become the new buzz word during the coronavirus pandemic? Because of how rapidly the novel coronavirus is spreading across the world, countries are shutting down and governments are encouraging people to practice “social distance” — reducing the number of people gathering in places and requiring citizens to stay home in an attempt to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Social distancing is the act of separating the public apart due to contagious illnesses during a pandemic.

There are a lot of skeptics online who are creating myths and conspiracies about the virus and questioning the call to self-isolate, but no matter your view or opinion about what is going on, in order to slow of spread of COVID-19, we must practice social distancing and self-quarantine to help those who are more susceptible to severe symptoms.

While many of us start to isolate ourselves at home, many people have started to work from home and companies have adjusted to allow for their employees to work remotely. Students of every grade level are figuring out how to transition to virtual and distance learning for school now that many schools across the country have closed for at least a month, and unfortunately many people have already been displaced or laid off from jobs that can’t be done online.

The facts are present, and there is no reason to panic if we simply practice social distancing. Although being cooped up in our homes 24/7 doesn’t seem like the ideal way to spend the next few weeks — especially during Spring break when everyone just wants to be at the beach — but there is no reason to feel like all hope is lost.

Instead of sitting in your room alone in those sweatpants you’ve worn for the past week, there are a lot of ways to engage with your friends and family and stay in communication with the world around you. For example, anyone with an iPhone can Facetime someone for hours on end — now we’ve got the time to spare to talk to each other.

Another way to stay connected with our friends is with a Google Chrome extension called “Netflix Party.” Download the extension and share the link with your friends to watch any Netflix movie together! It is …
